Held in the studio of one of the participating artists, 4, Rue Des Matelots drew upon the work of three artists in Arles, France. The exhibition coincided with the city’s annual photographic festival, Les Rencontres d’Arles, and in response to this the selected artwork was based around experimentation in photography.
Nicola Noemi Coppola showed Chimiographies. Salin de Giraud, an artist’s book and a video piece that explores the landscape around La Carmargue. Katherine Di Turi presented a selection of images that take Erna Lendvai-Dircksen´s 1932 book of portraits as their starting point; and Rafael Serrano exhibited photographs of assemblages created from elements from his surroundings, captured at different moments of the day.
