Sandra Lane is a sculptor whose work is influenced by Franz West's monumental sculptures and by the freshness of Rose Wylie's paintings, among others. Lane presented the installation "The Walking Shoes”, rooted in an exploration of femininity, in which the ceramic objects created a suggestive narrative for the viewer.
Alongside Lane’s installation, Wendy McLean showed some of her abstract paintings from the "Pits" series. The balance between the inherent rules of painting and a feeling of freedom is key in McLean's work: small explorations and changes are undertaken within the limits of the canvas.
