Simon Zabell, Málaga (Spain) 1970 received an MA in Theatre Design from the Slade School of Fine Art in London, and a BA in Painting and Sculpture at Granada University. His practice explores narrative aspects of painting and installation art, and his projects have a strong sense of theatre design, often drawing upon the worlds of literature, music, and film. He then translates these into painting, sculpture, or installation, creating a unique visual language for each project. His recent work is an investigation into the concept of rhythm and its application to every kind of human creation, from music, to architecture, to visual art.
